Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Applies to both LabelPrint and LabelStudio.

Overview

LabelPrint and LabelStudio (collectively, "the Apps") are macOS applications by Adrian Gorak. LabelPrint crops and prints shipping label PDFs; LabelStudio designs custom labels from scratch. Your privacy is important. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: none).

Data Collection

Neither App collects, stores, or transmits any personal data to our servers. Both run entirely on your Mac.

Specifically, we do not collect:

Local Storage

Each App stores your preferences (selected printer, label sizes, presets, designs) locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults and the App's sandbox container. This data never leaves your device unless YOU choose to sync it via iCloud (see below) or export it (e.g. as a .labelprint or .labelstudio file you save to disk).

iCloud Sync

When iCloud Drive is enabled on your Mac, the Apps store certain user-configured data inside your own iCloud container so it syncs across your devices:

This data lives entirely in your iCloud account, managed by Apple. We have no access to it and no servers involved. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in macOS System Settings → Apple ID → iCloud Drive.

Cross-App Communication

When both LabelPrint and LabelStudio are installed, they can share data through a macOS App Group container (group.com.adriangorak.labelapps) and the labelprint:// URL scheme. This is used so LabelStudio can hand off generated PDFs to LabelPrint for printing. Data shared this way stays on your Mac.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies to these transactions.

Third-Party Services

The Apps do not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The website you're currently on uses a privacy-friendly self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) that does not use cookies or fingerprinting and stores no personal data.

App Review & Feedback

Both Apps may occasionally ask if you're enjoying them. If you tap "Yes," macOS shows Apple's native rating prompt (entirely handled by Apple). If you tap "Not really," the App opens a pre-filled email so you can send feedback directly. No telemetry is sent either way.

Children's Privacy

The Apps do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
