Why not just shrink the page instead?
Because it takes the barcode down with everything else. An A4 page fitted onto a 4x6 label lands at about 48% of its original size, and a barcode at half its designed width stops reading reliably — a thing you discover at the drop-off counter rather than at the printer.
This tool changes the page boundary and leaves the content alone. The label comes out at exactly the size the carrier drew it.
After you download it
The file is now the right shape, which is half the job. The other half is the print dialog, and no web page can reach it:
- Open the downloaded PDF. Open the cropped file in Preview and choose File then Print.
- Show Details, and pick the printer. Click Show Details, then select your thermal printer. That is what populates the paper size list.
- Set the paper size. Set Paper Size to 4 x 6 in or 100 x 150 mm, matching the roll you loaded.
- Set the scale to 100%. Set Scale to 100%, not fit-to-page. Fit-to-page shrinks the label again and undoes the crop.

Is my shipping label uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and rewritten inside this browser tab — there is no server behind this page to receive it. A shipping label carries a name and a home address, so that is worth being precise about.
Does cropping reduce the quality of the barcode?
No. The tool changes the page boundary rather than the content: no rescaling, no rasterising. The barcode comes out at exactly the size and sharpness the carrier generated. Scaling a page down to fit is what breaks barcodes, and this deliberately does not do that.
Can it handle a PDF with several labels in it?
Yes, when every page has the same layout, which is the usual case for a batch. Tick 'apply to all pages' and the same crop is applied to each. Pages of different sizes are handled individually.
Do I still need to get the print settings right?
Yes, and this is the part a web page cannot do for you. After downloading, print with the paper size set to 4x6 or 100 x 150 mm and scale at 100%, not fit-to-page.
