Printing Poshmark labels on a 4x6 thermal printer

Poshmark labels are 8.5 x 11 in by default. For a 4x6 thermal printer, change Shipping Label Settings to 4" x 6", then print with the paper size set to 4 x 6 in. The change only affects labels created afterwards, so a label you already have stays Letter-size and needs cropping instead.

Where the setting is

• App: Me tab → Seller Tools → Settings → Shipping Label Settings.
• Web: profile picture → Account Settings → Shipping Label Settings.

Choose 4" x 6" ("label printers with 4" wide paper", in Poshmark's words). The same screen has an optional packing slip with the order number, item, buyer and price; turn it off if you do not want a second page printing on a label.

Printing it on a Mac

1. Download the label PDF from the sale.
2. Open it in Preview and choose File → Print.
3. Pick the thermal printer and set Paper Size to 4 x 6 in. Poshmark notes the printer's own paper size may need changing too.
4. Set Scale to 100% and print.

If the result is small, sideways or cut off, print the free 4x6 test label to tell a printer setting from a file problem.

A label that is already 8.5 x 11

Labels made before you switched keep their size, and printing one on a 4x6 roll shrinks the whole page. Crop the label out instead: the free label cropper finds it and keeps it at full size, so the barcode is not reduced. The same applies to a return label that arrives as a full page.

No printer? Use the QR code

Poshmark can issue a QR code instead of a printable label; USPS scans it at the counter and prints the label there.
