LabelStudio support

Email contact@labelprintapp.com and you reach the person who wrote LabelStudio. There is no ticket system and no first line — one developer, usually answering within a day. If clicking the address opens nothing, your Mac has no mail app set up: copy contact@labelprintapp.com into any email instead. In the app, Help › Contact Support does the same and adds your app and macOS versions.

It helps to say which printer you use and what you expected to see against what came out. If it's about one label, attach it: Label › Export Template File saves it as a small .labelstudio file.

Can't type spaces, or ⌘V doesn't paste?

That was a bug in LabelStudio 1.0: text fields lost their spaces, and ⌘C, ⌘V, ⌘X and ⌘A acted on the label instead of the text being typed. LabelStudio 1.0.1 fixes both, along with a long list of other problems, and is rolling out on the Mac App Store now. Open the App Store, choose Updates, and update LabelStudio. We're sorry it shipped that way.

LabelStudio Pro on all your Macs

Pro is one in-app purchase tied to your Apple Account, not to the Mac. On every Mac signed in to the same Apple Account it unlocks by itself; if it doesn't, open the Pro window and choose Restore Purchases. A team where everyone uses their own Apple Account needs one purchase per account — Apple's volume purchasing doesn't cover in-app purchases.

What's free and what's Pro

Free: design anything, start from any of the templates, print labels made of text and shapes, and sync your labels and templates over iCloud. Pro ($9.99, one time) adds printing labels with barcodes or images, CSV mail merge, PDF export, folders and custom label sizes.

Printing copies

Label › Print…(⌘P) opens the print dialog with the label's paper size already set: choose the printer and the number of copies there. Label › Print Without Dialog(⌥⌘P) prints one copy on the printer you used last. Labels print at actual size with no margins. If one comes out small, blank or cut off, the printer's paper setting is the usual cause, and the printer guides on this site apply to LabelStudio as much as to LabelPrint.

Mail merge from Excel

Generate from CSV reads what Excel saves as CSV — comma or semicolon separated, UTF-8 or Windows encoding, accents included. Columns named like a field are matched to it automatically; the rest you pick from the list.

Moving labels and templates between Macs

With iCloud Drive on, your labels and templates follow you to every Mac signed in to the same Apple Account. Edit on one Mac at a time: when two Macs change the library at the same moment, the later save wins — an update that merges changes is on the way. To give a template to someone else, use Label › Export Template File and send the .labelstudio file; on their Mac, double-click it, or use Import… in the template gallery.

Refunds

App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account that made the purchase. Do email first if something is broken — we'd rather fix it.

Requirements

LabelStudio needs macOS 14 or later and prints to any printer your Mac can see — thermal label printers and office printers alike, through the normal macOS print system.

Privacy

Your labels stay on your Mac and in your own iCloud Drive. There is no account to create and nothing is collected. The privacy policy covers both apps and this site.
